This style of vacuum cannot negotiate
stairs, so those are still yours to clean. Also, if you have fringed rugs, it's
a good idea to remove them if possible, or the robotic vacuum
cleaner may get stuck on the fringe and need rescued.
This type of vacuum will work on carpets,
wood or tile floors and are designed to clean up not only dirt, debris, and
lint, but pet hair and small spills as well.
At least one of the models is programmed to
"know" when it needs to be recharged and will return to its base by
itself to recharge. These vacuums range in price from very affordable to
somewhat pricey, so there is a style for everyone.
The robot sweeper
can be a real time saver, provided you have the time for it to do its work. If
you know you have surprise guests arriving in 15 minutes, this type of vacuum
isn't the most time efficient. However, if you are going to be at work all day,
it is the perfect solution for maintaining high traffic areas. Just turn it on
before you leave and come home to clean floors.
